"As a Greek and Italian, cooking is something I love to do. I learned the base of many of my recipes from my Greek mother who cooked for my Italian father, or my Italian Nonna, or Greek cousins, I grew up partially with a French family with Tunisian origins and was born in Switzerland. One would say my culinary palate and experiences are well traveled.

As you may know or have guessed I love to cook for my friends and been often asked why don't I "open a restaurant" or do a "cooking show" or "write a Book" etc... so okay! Here it is!

Because of my desire to eat healthy, but love gourmet home made Meals, in my oftentimes busy schedule, I decided to start posting some recipes that are easy to make and mostly quick, and are actually good for you and your waistline.

Caponata Siciliana (Sicilian Vegetable stew)

Whether you're vegan, vegetarian or not at all, this traditional Sicilian dish is absolutely delicious and definitely comfort food.

Salmon with Vegetables

This a healthy, quick lunch or dinner. Low calorie, low carb, very tasty and very good for you! You can serve with either zucchini, asparagus or spinach. Lovely with rice or quinoa if it's part of your diet. Buon Appetito!

Rollato di Tacchino (Turkey Roll)

Rolled up turkey breast cutlet with frittata, mortadella, parsley and Spinach filling. Amazingly delicious combination. Can be prepared ahead of time for your guests. Simple to make. I hope you enjoy this one. Buon Appetito!

Polpette al Sugo (Italian Meatballs with Marinara Sauce)

This is a wonderful classic dish. My mom's recipe never fails it's simple and oh so so deliscious! Buon Appetito

Peperonata (Bell Pepper Vegetable Stew / Vegetarian - Vegan)

This vegetarian and vegan dish takes about 45 minutes to make and it's VERY delicious! Just as good if not better the next day. Buon Appetito!

French Folded Omelet

This is a quick BREAKFAST or BRUNCH egg dish that is fairly easy to make. The technique of flipping the omelet takes some practice but it is well worth it in the end. Buon Appetito!

Okra (Bamies) - A Greek Vegetable Dish

A Vegetarian and Vegan Dish! Greek by trade. This is super easy to make and really delicious. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do!


This is a delicious Southern Italian Dish. My mother's recipe and so incredibly delicious . The meat rolls, cooked (either veal or beef) and served with gluten-free or regular pasta, or polenta or mashed potatoes!!! I hope you enjoy it. Buon Appetito!

Ribollita - Tuscan Vegetable Soup

This is a traditional Tuscan thick vegetable soup, that one would make with whatever vegetables were available. But definitely cabbage and kale. Buon Appetito!


This is the best LASAGNA you have had! Perfect for a Sunday or any holiday. It is one of my personal favorites. You definitely need to leave yourself more time to make Lasagna as it does take longer but the end result is worth it! I highly recommend using homemade pasta sheets and freshly made tomato sauce. It makes a huge difference. You will be a huge hit with this one! Let me know how it turns out... Buon Appetito!

Saltimbocca alla Romana (Veal Cutlet)

Eggplant Parmesan (Parmigiana)

This is a GREAT healthy alternative to the traditional Eggplant Parmigiana (which is fried). It is great for an appetizer before your meal or as the entree, and looks very elegant in presentation. This is a great addition to a traditional Italian entree. It is easy to make , Healthy , low Calorie and it tastes great. Try it!
