Directed by Jim Abrams (The Naked Gun, Airplane), it's a comical parody of the gangster/Mafia/mob movie genre. Sofia played the role of the mother, of the one-day all-powerful Sicilian Godfather ('Sofia'), portraying a young Olympia Dukakis in 1912, in the little Sicilian town of Salmonella. "I will probably always be remembered for the infamous finger-pulling scene in the movie -- soooo ladylike!" She laughed. "But I had such a fun time shooting this film. I loved Jim and everyone in the cast and crew. The day I wrapped my part, I actually cried."
